If I could have just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine...
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.

One day you will come lay with me
upon the pedestal created for our love.

What if I fall or disappoint you my darling?
That is my greatest fear.

There is no way you can fall my angel,
the pedestal was made for only you.
No other could linger on its velvet pillow,
or adorn my heart with love and joy as you do.
There may be many obstacles to overcome,
but love will never be one.
Need fills every fiber of my being,
you make the sun shine in my heart.

Never doubt, gather all your worries,
put them in a bag, close it tight,
never think of them again.

I’m trying not to fall in love again
Been hurt once and can still remember the pain
Struggled all the way to stay sane
Fought thru’ despair to push away the rain
For the sun to emerge and brighter days to reign
No more love but a life that was simple and plain.

Then you appeared and told me I have everything to gain
Because you love me and your love will remain
I want to trust you and let my heart attain
A kind of happiness with you that can sustain
Thru’ all the ups and downs, no matter the strain
But it’s hard to let go of this fear that all would be in vain.
